Setsuka Sakurazuka is Seishirou's mother who appears only briefly in X16, a refined woman with elegance and poise. On the outside, she is a beautiful woman with long black hair and dresses in a traditional Japanese kimono who looks far too young to have a teenage son. As a Sakurazukamori, she kills without remorse and harbors a morbid fascination with blood and death. Her favorite flower is the red camellia, which she likens to a human head dropping when they fall onto a snowy ground in winter. 
Though she loves Seishirou deeply, her relationship with him is pretty twisted and goes beyond ordinary mother-son relations. As a matter of fact, it was her who ordered Seishirou to succeed her as the next Sakurazuka by killing her. The young Seishirou happily obliged, and Setsuka died a blissful death in his hands. Before she died, Setsuka told Seishirou that she was not the one he loved most, and that his successor will also be the one who kills him.
