SEISHIROU & HOKUTO
---------------------------

Warm and lively Hokuto-chan; handsome and mysterious Seishirou. They are Subaru's eternal guardians and companions with their contrasting personalities. Both bring a different spark to the TB world and enriches the story further more. Hokuto and Seishirou obviously enjoy each other's company given their many differences. Bonded by a mutual love for Subaru, both of these special individuals will go to great lenghts for him and protect him at all cost. They both love to see Subaru-kun in his state of happiness, constantly teasing him with harmless jokes of getting married to Seishirou and the overall relationship of the two male lovers. On the other hand, the duo also like to speculate on speedily-changing Tokyo, making light-hearted comments on the city's beauty and enjoying its many sceneries and panoramas.

Guardian angels
Hokuto is often ecstatic and hyper on the prospect of Seishirou and Subaru's blossoming relationship. She's over the moon that his twin has found such a caring and tending lover, therefore she puts a great deal of trust and confidence in Seishirou as Subaru's mentor and guardian. Hokuto'd always hoped that his brother can find the confidence and guiding he needs in the comfort of his romance with Seishirou, with him as his guiding light and protector. Nevertheless, there are times when Hokuto's suspicion is aroused and she starts to doubt Seishirou's real identity, silently questioning his mysterious past and family background. Being the quick and intuitive person she is, Hokuto had sensed that something was "not quite right" from the beginning. She could not disregard the fact that Seishirou's surname, "Sakurazuka" 's close resemblance to the Sakurazukamori clan was a mere coincidence, not to mention that Seishirou is always engulfed by an aurora of mystery and enigma which Hokuto finds bewildering and uncanny. Seishirou, on the other hand, will quickly dismiss any chance of Hokuto's inquisitive mind to taint their relationship by cleverly changing the subject or directing her attention to another matter. With consideration for Subaru, Hokuto is always ready to discontinue the discussion in fear of spoiling his relationship with his brother.

The fact that Hokuto had not further contemplated her doubts about Seishirou points out the possibility that she is allowing Subaru to experience the traumatising and heart-wrenching rejection of his love by Seishirou at the end of TB. Was there anything Hokuto could've done to save his brother from the sad news? We are compelled to believe that Subaru will hear it from Seishirou one way or another in the end, and it will undoubtedly shatter his fragile heart. Despite her many concerns over Seishirou's past and intentions towards Subaru, Hokuto chose to ignore such thoughts lingering in her mind and encourage the Seishirou to pursue the relationship with Subaru.

Friendship factors
As with Subaru's submissiveness, Seishirou often conform to Hokuto's joking manner and provoke his bishounen lover into a frenzy of non-stop blushing and perpetual shyness. As Seishirou has "helped" Hokuto with caring for Subaru, Seishirou also enjoys Hokuto's cheerful nature and finds in her the help and assistance he needs to make Subaru relinquish his guilty conscience and enjoy the days that pass by.

Moreover, however different, Hokuto and Seishirou provide the love that Subaru often feel his life is lacking and reassure his guilty conscience. Seishirou and Hokuto are of tremendous assistance to each other, with their different assets and personality. Whilst Seishirou is always amused by Hokuto -chan'ssense of humor, he finds that Subaru's cute twin brings a sense of life and energy into the disposition of his formerly loveless and impoverished soul. Both are forever inseparable and eternally grateful for the support and strength they'd given to weak Subaru-kun as well as each other's friendship.

Having gained each other's trust, Sei and Hokuto-chan openly display an immense amount of affection and fondness for each other. This can be seen in the way that they're closely attached and like to share out daily household chores and errands in the security and consolation of their friendship and partnership. Despite the pleasure and joy Subaru gives to their life, Seishirou-san and Hokuto cannot do with each other's presence. We see that every day brings them a step closer in TB, and the strong affinity of their friendship sets the foundation of the story, of which the Tokyo Babylon story is based upon. Both are equally important to each other, and although Hokuto despise the idea of interrupting Su-chan and Sei-chan's romantic moments, she can't help but be there to share the essence of joy and the family love of a fitting trio. As much as she enjoys embarassing or "helplessly humiliating" his twin, Hokuto wants the course of Su and Sei's relationship to run smoothly more than anything in the world.
